All Bling'd Out - Accessories by Miranda's Vintage Bridal

Miranda's Vintage Bridal and Alterations is a small boutique in Cleveland that provides vintage wedding gowns and accessories. We came across Miranda and her business at the Boutique Bridal Bazaar in Cleveland earlier this month. As you can see, there is no shortage of beautiful accessories to choose from here! Diamonds and pearls galore!

This necklace is absolutely jaw dropping!

Miranda has over 7 years of experience in the bridal industry and will lovingly restore an heirloom gown and also has a nice selection of vintage gowns (from the 1920's through the 1980's).

Local Vendor of the Week - Something White Bridal Boutique

Last week, mom and I met a lot of great local vendors at the Boutique Bridal Bazaar in Cleveland! Among them was Something White Bridal Boutique. They also happened to be the host of the bazaar. Friends,  Karin and Rebecca, started this little business in Independence, Ohio together and aimed to reflect their personal style. They have a wide range of gowns to suite your style and I personally love their eye for vintage masterpieces!

There's not much I can say about this laced back gown that it can't say for itself :) Classy, elegant, and just plain beautiful! You will surely stand out as a bride with a dress like this.

Still need blinged out belts, hair pieces, and other accessories?! They have those too! Take your dress to the next level with one of these gorgeous sashes :)

Bridesmaids dresses can also be taken care of while you're at it! I must say, these emerald green bridesmaid dresses are stunning against the white snow. The lovely ladies at Something White are there to help you every step of the way!

DIY Friday - Champagne Glasses

What a great idea for a bridal shower or bachelorette party! With some glitter paint and a foam pouncer, they're pretty easy to make. Tape on stencils for letters or designs as well! I'm definitely going to try this :) See instructions on Something Turquoise!

Cleveland Boutique Bridal Bazaar

This past weekend the Two Hearts Team (my mom and I) went to the second annual Boutique Bridal Bazaar in Cleveland! There were so many great and unique vendors to check out. It was such a fantastic way to showcase some of the small, boutique businesses in the Cleveland/Akron area!

We saw some of our favorite vendors I have worked with, as well as some lovely new businesses that I'm excited to get to know in the future! Here's Mama and me at the show!

Bittersweet's in Stow was there with some delicious cake & truffle samples and some of the most intricate cake designs I've ever seen! I definitely recommend trying the pink lemonade cupcake. It was absolutely to die for! We've also featured them as one of our Local Vendors of the Week. Check out that post HERE!

While wandering about, we discovered the most adorable little booth set up with absolutely beautiful jewelry and accessories! This lovely lady is the owner of Miranda's Vintage Bridal in Cleveland. She provides vintage jewelry, gowns, and other pretty accessories for your wedding day :)

Something White Bridal Boutique was the host of Boutique Bridal Bazaar! They provided a mini fashion show to model some of their gowns. They definitely have a unique selection of beautiful dresses! I also had the privilege of working with them during a styled shoot with Baci Designer.

If you're in need of some vintage furniture or accent pieces, you can now rent them! Borrow Vintage + Eclectic Rentals has an array of items ranging from tables, china, and small and large accessories. Everything you see in the picture above is available to rent for your wedding!

The lovely Arielle was, of course, present with her amazing photography! Her business, Arielle Doneson Photography is one of my favorites and is definitely one of my top picks for Akron wedding photographers.

If you were not able to attend this event but want to know more about some of the vendors that were present, just keep checking the blog! Our upcoming local vendors will be from the Boutique Bridal Bazaar ;) Thanks again Arielle for the tickets! We had a fabulous time!

For Your Boho/Indie Wedding: The Feather Junkie

With the last few years economically tough, brides are thinking outside the box when it comes to weddings. The classic look will always be popular, but the more casual vintage, rustic, and bohemian/indie are trending this year. The Etsy Wedding Blog put Boho/Indie in the Hottest Wedding Trends for 2013 according to what's trending on sites like Pinterest and Lover.ly.

Green Wedding Shoes featured a BOHO Feather Wedding Inspiration Shoot recently -

If you adore that look, The Feather Junkie is a great source for hair pieces, hair extensions, earrings, necklaces, the cutest boots, and other accessories that will complete your unique look! The business was started by the daughter of a good friend, Ashley Featherston (her real name!), who fell in love with the bohemian look and feather accents.

Here are just a few samples of what you can get through her website. Everything is custom made and no two are alike.

Dress Dreams

If you're anything like me, then when it comes to wedding gowns, your heart is set on lace! I just find it so elegant and beautiful :) Now normally in this segment, I feature only one dress at a time. However, when browsing through Augusta Jones' line, I simply couldn't choose between these two!

This dress titled, Ali, is so sweet and sophisticated with the high neckline. I'm all about the blinged out belts these days too :) To see this lovely dress in its full splendor, check out the wedding of Tabitha + Stephan on Augusta Jones' blog, Couture Thoughts. Here's a peek at Tabitha in the gown:

This dress titled, Jayma, is absolutely stunning with the lace, off the shoulder sleeves! LOVE!!!

Boutique Bridal Bazaar

If you're a fan of boutique wedding & special event vendors, there's no better place to meet them than at the upcoming Boutique Bridal Bazaar hosted by Something White, A Bridal Boutique.

The Boutique Bridal Bazaar is an atypical bridal show for brides seeking vendors and products that will help them pull off a unique and stylish wedding. Come ready to taste culinary confections, feast your eyes on the latest wedding fashions and be prepared to be inspired!

Karin & Rebecca, owners of Something White, a bridal boutique in Independence Ohio, are the creative minds behind the Boutique Bridal Bazaar. As the owners of a boutique business, the girls envisioned a bridal fair on a smaller scale where unique local businesses like themselves could have a more personal connection with brides and showcase their products in a creative and inspiring way.

The event will take place on Sunday, January 20th, from noon until 4 pm at smARTspace at 78th Street Studios in downtown Cleveland.

Two of our favorite vendors will be there: Arielle Doneson Photography and Bittersweet's along with a host of others. To see a list of who's coming, click here. For their Facebook page and discount offers, click here.

The tickets are just $5 and can be obtained online through their Eventbrite page. Click on that link for more information and directions.

A Fan of Downton Abbey?

Nina (Caitlin's mom) here....I'm a HUGE fan of the PBS series Downton Abbey.  If you've been living under a rock, the third installment of the series started on Sunday and we Anglophiles couldn't be more pleased. If you haven't seen it, rent the first two seasons via Netflix before starting the third or you'll deprive yourself of some integral background.

If you have a big budget and can travel to England, a wedding at Highclere Castle in Newbury, the setting of Downton Abbey, is possible!! The historic estate is open to the public and available for wedding venue rentals. However, be prepared to fork over more than $24,000 for the venue alone. You can fit about 140 in the interior, but it's also possible to host a tented event on the historic estate's gorgeous grounds. To get the Earl of Grantham (aka Hugh Bonneville) to show up, you're on your own.

Check out this post on The Knot for some lovely photos of the grounds and interiors. To see a great photo shoot by Arielle Doneson Photography and Firefly Events in Style Me Pretty inspired by Downton Abbey click here.

Just Get Engaged?

Now that you’re engaged, it’s time to start the planning! A daunting task to be sure, so it’s best to consult the experts. If you have no clue at all where to start or you have a jumble of ideas and need some help getting going, hiring a wedding planner is the best way to go.

Many planners today offer a variety of packages starting with Hourly Consultation to Partial & Full Wedding Planning to the Wedding Day Coordination (please don’t make your family do these tasks – let them enjoy the day!)

A consultation with a wedding planner can save you a world of headaches and lots of money by giving you a complete list & timeline of what you need to have reserved and organized by the wedding day as well as things to watch out for when signing contracts with vendors.

I work with Amanda Cursaro of Baci Designer here in the Akron/Canton/Cleveland area and she’s an expert in event design & planning and will be happy to help you get your wedding organized. Click here to check out her services.

One of the best places to go on the web for wedding planning tips, inspirations and just about everything wedding is The Knot. Here’s a link to their article, 8 Wedding Planning Tips to Get Organized.

Another of our favorite wedding sites, Idojour, provides a great list on their blog: 7 Secrets to Make Wedding Planning Easier, including handy websites for organizing and downloading free printables.

And Honey & Twine has a great article on figuring costs with some Wedding Budget Advice.

It’s never too early to start planning and taking care of those major things first…deciding on your overall style, setting a budget, and lining up the wedding venue/officiant, the reception venue, photographer and other significant vendors. Don’t forget to include your significant other, it’s their day too – happy planning!

Dress Dreams

Just because you want to be conservative, doesn't mean you have to hide yourself! You can be classy and subtly sexy at the same time. Here is just the dress to prove it! This gorgeous Hayley Paige gown contains all of the traditional bridal elements while adding a conservative neckline. However, the back is the show stopper! The crystal collar neckline that trails down the back is absolutely stunning!
